That's disgusting!

I've always though there was something a bit odd about the English royal family, and this disturbing expose by the Daily Mail confirms it.

thanks to the other Rhys Wynne.

(had to remove last post as there was so many typo's I was embarrased!)

Glad you like it, by all means send a link to Mike. Best not send it to your Grandpa - he might be offended.

Did you like the maps?

Also if you'd chosen to 'login' to you're Blogger account before posting as opposed to doing it the anonymous way, it would appear as 'Nick said...' above your comment with a link back to your blog, like it does for Mike and Greg.

Blogging's all about links

(Jesus, I need to get a life!)

On an entirely different subject, but one which may be closer to yr heart - we were trying to look up bus times in Carmarthenshire (Traveline Cymru) only to be informed that there is no database of Welsh names for places (in Wales I assume) & we should be careful to search for them under their English names.

Is this true? Cos if it is I, as an English woman (with some Welsh ancestry), am disgusted. & there's a project for someone.

& if it isn't - maybe getting in contact with Traveline Cymru & informing them is in order?

Regarding your question Bronchitikat, yes that's saddly true. This is something that occurs on many 'bilingual' websites in Wales, where there's an English and Welsh option to view the site, but when there's a search facility, the information is only available in English. It looks particularly silly when viewing the page in Welsh, but also like I presume you did, viewing in English but trying to put placenames down as you recognise them.

They'll come out with some excuse that it's not tecnically posible but that's not the case, it's just lazyness on their behalf.

If you feel strongly baout it, please send them a letter/e-mail, it would be interesting to hear their response. Be sure to post it here as well.

Also if you're looking foor places to stay/eat with a Welsh feel, check out the 'Holiday's in Welsh' link in the white box on the right of my blog.

My husband, who knows about these things, reckons that a simple 'look up' table/matix thingy would sort that out dead easy. But maybe I'll try telling them what I think of it anyway.

BTW - we have a great place to stay we found a couple of years back, a G&B in Llansteffan - run by a Welsh-speaking couple (fortunately for us they're bilingual). My Welsh is still virtually non-existant but I can now make a better stab at getting place names correct!
